Clinician & Consultant
I am a New York and Massachusetts licensed psychotherapist who has worked in the mental health field for over 15 years.
I specialize in therapy for people who have experienced trauma and are struggling with the impact on their relationships with others and/or their relationship with themselves. This can manifest as struggling with confrontation or speaking up for yourself, or having an unkind inner monologue; it can look like people-pleasing or avoiding a situation altogether. It is often linked to a lot of difficulty and discomfort with change, because change has usually been a negative thing for you.
In therapy, our task is to foster compassionate curiosity about you: we will examine your lived experience, explore and strengthen your resilience, and experiment with new ideas about what you would like your life to be like.
I have been an EMDR provider since 2020. This intervention is especially interested in somatic information, in what you notice in your body when you encounter stressful situations in your life or think about past experiences.
I provide teletherapy, and I work with clients in both New York and Massachusetts. EMDR is effective via teletherapy, and if you are interested in knowing more about this, please get in touch!
