Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers to the questions people ask most before starting therapy. If yours is not here, the free consultation is exactly the place to ask it.

It begins with a free 25-minute consultation, where we discuss your main concerns, logistics like scheduling and insurance, and how I work. If we move forward, we set a regular weekly time, you complete onboarding paperwork, and we begin.

All sessions are currently held virtually over a secure telehealth platform. I work with clients located anywhere in New York or Massachusetts, and virtual therapy produces outcomes comparable to in-person treatment across anxiety, depression, and trauma care.

I work with teens aged 13 and up, young adults, and adults across New York and Massachusetts. I specialize in anxiety, depression, complex trauma, people pleasing, relationship difficulties, LGBTQIA+ and identity concerns, and childhood trauma.

Sessions last 50 minutes and take place weekly. Some clients meet more often during intensive phases of work, and frequency is something we decide together based on your needs and goals.

Intake sessions are $275 and ongoing sessions are $250. I am an out-of-network (OON) provider, so I confirm coverage details with you first, support you in claiming out-of-network reimbursement, and hold a limited number of sliding scale spots.

Yes. Psychotherapy is protected by confidentiality, and nothing discussed can be disclosed to a third party without your express permission, with narrow legal exceptions such as a plan to seriously harm yourself or another person. I am glad to discuss this in detail.

I do not use AI note-takers, AI transcription, or tools that risk storing or sharing session content. Safety and trust are essential to therapy, and data security is a priority in my work, so your words stay between us.

EMDR is an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain reprocess distressing memories so they lose their grip on the present. I completed EMDR basic training in 2021, intermediate training in 2022, and Relational EMDR training in 2026.

No. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker I provide psychotherapy, not medication. If you want to explore medication, I can coordinate with your prescriber or help you think through a referral, and therapy works well alongside medication for many people.

Yes. I provide clinical supervision and consultation to psychotherapists, drawing on more than five years of supervisory experience and integrating trauma-informed interventions, somatic awareness, attachment theory, and relational approaches. My supervision sessions are $150, and I offer sliding scale options for pre-licensed therapists.
